Let’s Talk About 2000W Carbon Fiber Emitters
If you’re dealing with industrial drying or curing, you know the struggle of getting heat to actually penetrate your material rather than just scorching the surface. That’s why we built these 2000W carbon fiber lamps. Instead of those old-school metal coils, we use a carbon fiber filament tucked inside a quartz tube. It changes the way the heat hits your product, pushing the energy deeper where it actually belongs. The power side of things 2000W is a lot of juice for such a small footprint. We designed them this way so you can keep your heating banks compact and save some floor space. But here is the catch: you’ve got to make sure your wiring can actually handle it. If your power supply is weak or your wires are too thin, you’ll deal with voltage drops. That means some lamps will be hot and others will be lukewarm, which is a nightmare for a production line. Check your breakers before you flip the switch. Why carbon fiber? Tungsten and nichrome are fine, but they tend to warp or sag when things get really hot. Carbon fiber doesn’t do that. It stays put. Plus, it’s fast. Like, “instant-on” fast. You don’t have to sit around waiting for a long warm-up cycle to finish before you can start working. Since it puts out medium-to-long wave infrared, it just “clicks” better with plastics and organic materials. It’s a much more natural fit. Getting them set up These will play nice with most standard industrial controllers. If you want to get really precise with your temperature, I’d go with an SCR power controller. It gives you way more control over the modulation. Just a heads-up on two things. First, the quartz glass is fragile. The filament inside is a tank, but the glass can’t take a hit. If your machine vibrates a lot or things get bumped around, make sure these are mounted securely. And second, 2000W of radiant energy creates a massive amount of ambient heat. If you don’t have a solid ventilation plan to move that air out, you’ll end up frying your sensors and wiring. Don’t skip the fans.
