
Let’s talk about the 600mm 1300W Carbon Fiber Heater
We built these 600mm carbon fiber lamps for the jobs where you can’t afford to wait around for things to heat up. If you’ve used those old-school quartz halogen tubes, you know the drill. These are different. The way the carbon fiber filament works means the heat actually sinks deeper into your materials rather than just scorching the surface. The heat is steady. At 1300W over 600mm, we’ve dialed in the power so you get a smooth, linear heat. No annoying hot spots. No burnt edges. And here is the best part: carbon fiber handles the “stretch and shrink” of heating and cooling way better than metal. You can flip the power on and off all day long, and the lamp isn’t going to just snap on you. It’s fast. Really fast. We wrapped a high-tensile carbon fiber core in a high-purity quartz envelope. Why? Because it lets the lamp hit operating temperature almost the second you hit the switch. No more standing around waiting for a warm-up period. The quartz keeps the filament safe from oxygen while letting the infrared heat fly right through without losing any punch. A few things to keep in mind when you set it up… When you’re wiring this in, just double-check that your controllers are happy with the resistance of carbon fiber. Most of the time, these slide right into the spot where your mid-range IR heaters used to be. But, since the heat profile is different from short-wave halogen, you might find you need to tweak your conveyor speed or give your parts a little more (or less) time under the lamp. Also, 1300W in a 600mm space puts out a lot of raw heat.Give your housing some room to breathe. One last tip: keep those reflectors polished. If they get dusty or go out of alignment, you’re just wasting energy by heating up the air in the room instead of your workpiece. Keep them clean, and you’ll get every bit of that power exactly where you want it.
