If you’ve ever worked with Sulfet machines, you know the struggle. You need enough heat to set the dyes and dry the fabric, but just a little too much and you’ve scorched your material. It’s a tightrope walk. That’s where gold-coated short-wave IR lamps come in. Why the gold? Think of a standard quartz lamp like a lightbulb that throws heat everywhere.
