We ditched the old-school quartz halogen tubes for a carbon fiber filament tucked inside clear quartz. The result? It’s fast. Really fast. The power side of things Running at 220V and 1000W, this lamp is designed to spread heat evenly across that 545mm stretch. We spent a lot of time balancing the wattage so you don’t end up with annoying hotspots, but you still hit your target temperature almost instantly. Plus, it plugs right into your standard 220V industrial circuits. No fancy workarounds. You get a steady, reliable flow of heat without worrying about blowing a fuse or overloading your power supply. Why carbon fiber? Here’s the thing: carbon fiber just works differently than tungsten. It throws out a wider spectrum of infrared radiation, which means the heat actually sinks deeper into your materials instead of just sitting on the surface. Because we use clear quartz glass, nothing gets in the way. The energy goes straight from the filament to your target. You’ll notice it hits full temp in a matter of seconds. It’s a night-and-day difference if you’re used to waiting for a system to warm up. Getting it set up (and keeping it alive) If you’ve already got medium-wave IR racking, this should slide right in. The 545mm size is pretty standard, so it’s a simple swap. But a word of caution:**keep the glass clean.**Seriously. One greasy fingerprint or a smudge of oil can cause a hot spot that pops the tube. Handle them with care, and they’ll last much longer. And since we’re pushing 1000W, don’t cram these into a tiny, airtight box. Give them some room to breathe. If the air stays trapped, the ambient heat can actually melt your wiring insulation. Stick with high-temp leads and make sure your mounting clips are tight—you don’t want vibrations shaking the filament to pieces.
